The same is true with Mold Spores, both inside and outside a home. Some people experience little or no reaction from high levels of exposure to mold spores. Other people exposed to low levels can have mold allergies and react with a variety of symptoms. Many people suffer from mold allergies and have no idea what the cause of there adverse reaction is. Different types of mold and toxic mold produce health effects through inflammation, allergy, or infection. Allergic reactions (often referred to as hay fever) are the most common following mold exposure. Some typical symptoms of mold allergies that mold-exposed people report include: respiratory problems, such as wheezing, difficulty breathing, and shortness of breath; nasal and sinus congestion; eye irritation, including burning, watery, or reddened eyes; dry, hacking cough; nose or throat irritation and skin rashes or irritation. Additionally headaches, memory problems, mood swings, nosebleeds, body aches and pains, and fevers are occasionally due to mold cases, but their cause is not always understood. These same symptoms can be caused by a variety of allergens. So if you experience the symptoms, you should not automatically assume that your home has a mold problem.
